  1. First of all, you need to start your localhost manager:


  2. Enter your phpMyAdmin tool and type your database access details:


  3. Create a new database:


  4. Open the archive downloaded from http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/ and unzip it to "www" folder of your localhost installation.

  5. Type localhost/wordpress in your browser address bar:


  6. Enter your database access details. It is recommended to save default wp_ table prefix:


  7. Enter your preferred admin panel access details:


  8. Unzip the template package to your hard drive now.

  9. Log into your WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.

  10. Click the Upload link and upload your CherryFramework.zip file from ‘theme’ folder of your template package:


  11. When the upload is complete you need to activate the theme. Click the Activate theme link.

  12. Go back to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.

  13. Click the Upload link and upload your themeXXXX.zip file from ‘theme’ folder of your template package.

  14. When the upload is complete, you need to activate the theme. Click the Activate theme link.

  15. Under Appearance -> Themes you will see a warning message saying that your theme requires certain plugins to be installed for its proper functionality. Click on Begin Installing Plugins:


To make your WordPress website look like our live demo, you will need to install sample data. Please follow the instructions below.

  1. Navigate to the Cherry Plugin menu and click Import.

  2. Click the Browse local files button on this screen:


  3. Navigate to the "theme/sample_data" directory from the template package and upload all files you see there to WordPress. Just hit CTRL+A or Command+A to select all of them and click Open:


    You can also upload all these files by selecting them in the "theme/sample_data" directory (CTRL+A or Command+A) and dragging them to the uploading area.

  4. Make sure to upload all files from the sample_data directory including .JSON and .XML files. When the upload is done, click the "Continue Install" button to proceed.

  5. Clicking the "Continue Install" button will activate the sample data installation process. The installation steps may take some time depending on your server settings. Please be patient.
