This tutorial will show you how to install sample static pages manually in Magento store. <\/p>\r\n

In case you are installing the template over the live store or you just don’t want to install template sample data, you need to configure the static pages manually.<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    You can open a template preview page where you can click "Template Settings" link located under Information block in footer area and view the template settings : <\/p>\r\n

    The code for sample blocks is located in “sources\/demo\/pages” <\/strong>folder of your template package.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    Log into your Magento admin panel and navigate to CMS > Pages<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    Open Home page<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    Open Template settings page on the template preview – and copy Page Name<\/strong> to a page title.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    Open "sources\/demo\/pages" <\/strong>folder and copy the code from home_page.phtml<\/strong> file and paste it into the ‘Content<\/strong>‘ field: <\/p>\r\n

    Switch to the ‘Design<\/strong>‘ tab. Copy the code from the ‘home_page.xml<\/strong>‘ file and paste it into the ‘Layout Update XML<\/strong>‘ area: <\/p>\r\n

    In the ‘Layout<\/strong>‘ select box choose the required layout.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
