This tutorial will show you how to add a new product and category in your VirtueMart template.<\/p>\r\n\r\nVirtueMart 2.x. How to add a new product and category<\/a>\r\n\r\n

To add a new Category, you can follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1. Log into your Joomla Dashboard;<\/p>\r\n

2. In the top menu, hover over Components <\/strong>and click VirtueMart<\/strong>;<\/p>\r\n

3. Click the Product Categories<\/strong> button;<\/p>\r\n

4. Click the New button in the top right menu;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\"VirtueMart_How_to_add_a_new_product_and_category_1\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n

5. Under General Informations<\/strong> fill out the details for this category product. The Category Name <\/strong>is the only required field;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\"VirtueMart_How_to_add_a_new_product_and_category_2\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n

6. Click Save & Close<\/strong> in the top right menu.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

To add a new Product, please follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1. Click the Products <\/strong>icon on the left in the VirtueMart admin panel;<\/p>\r\n

2. Click the New <\/strong>button in the top right menu;<\/p>\r\n

3. There are many options you can enter when setting up a product. For example, we will enter the following basic details: Product Name<\/strong>, Product Category<\/strong>, and Cost Price<\/strong>;<\/p>\r\n

4. You can also click the various tabs at the top to modify the product details, for example, adding a product image and description;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\"VirtueMart_How_to_add_a_new_product_and_category_3\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n

5. When you are finished configuring the details of your new product, click Save <\/strong>in the top right menu.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
