This tutorial is going to show you how to add\/manage product attributes on your PrestaShop website.<\/p>\r\n

An attribute is a product variation. You can add multiple attributes to your products. <\/p>\r\n

Adding Product Attributes<\/h3>\r\n

To add a product attribute:<\/p>\r\n

  1. Log into your Prestashop admin panel and go to Catalog -> Attributes and Values<\/strong><\/li>\r\n

  2. Click the Add New Attributes<\/strong> button in the upper right corner.<\/li>\r\n

  3. On the Catalog : Attributes and Values : Add new Attribute <\/strong>page enter the following fields<\/li>\r\n

    Name: <\/strong>for instance, Color (the name will not be visible to the site visitors)<\/p>\r\n

    Public name: <\/strong>e.g. Color (visible to your site visitors)<\/p>\r\n

    URL: <\/strong>Specific URL format in block layered generation<\/p>\r\n

    Meta title: <\/strong>Specific format for meta title<\/p>\r\n

    Indexable: <\/strong>Use this attribute in URL generated by the layered navigation module<\/p>\r\n

    Attribute type: <\/strong>Choose the type of the attribute<\/p>\r\n

  4. Click Save<\/strong>. You are going to see the attribute you just added in the list. <\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    Adding Attribute Values<\/h3>\r\n
      \r\n
    1. Under Catalog -> Attributes and Values<\/strong> click Add New Values<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n

    2. Enter the following fields\r\n

      Attribute type:<\/strong> Choose the type of the attribute, e.g. Color<\/p>\r\n

      Value:<\/strong> the name of the value itself, for example for Color, it may be Metal, Pink etc<\/p>\r\n

      Meta title: <\/strong>Specific format for meta title<\/p>\r\n

      Color: <\/strong>Choose a color with the color picker, or enter an HTML color (e.g. "lightblue", "#CC6600") <\/p>\r\n

      Texture: <\/strong>Upload color texture from your computer (this will override the HTML color) <\/li>\r\n

    3. Click Save<\/strong> at the top right or Save add another value <\/strong>to add more values. <\/li>\r\n
    4. Now under Catalog -> Attributes and Values<\/strong> if you click Details <\/strong>in the attribute you added the values to, you will see all the values you added. You can also edit or delete them from there. <\/li>\r\n
