This tutorial will show you how to reset your password for Magento admin panel.<\/p>\r\n

For changing the password for Magento admin panel, you can follow the steps listed below:<\/p>\r\n

    Log into your Magento admin panel.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Navigate to System<\/strong> > My account<\/strong> tab:<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    You can type your new password there:<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    After you type your new password, click Save Account <\/strong>button:<\/p>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    In case you are not able to log into your Magento admin panel at all, the admin password can be changed in the database directly.<\/p>\r\n

      Open your database with the phpMyAdmin<\/strong> tool or any other database management tool: <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    2. \r\n

      Find and open the “admin_user”<\/strong> table:<\/p>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n

      Click edit icon:<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    4. \r\n

      Please note that you should choose “MD5”<\/strong> in the drop down menu:<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

      Enter your new password and click “Go”<\/strong> button.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    6. \r\n

      Your password has been successfully changed. <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
