This tutorial is going to show you how to add categories in Magento.<\/p>\r\n

Magento. How to add a category<\/a><\/p>\r\n

All the main categories are displayed as a horizontal menu at the front end. In order to add a new one, you should follow the steps below:<\/p>\r\n

    Log inin to your Magento admin panel.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Select Manage Categories<\/strong> option from the drop down menu under Catalog<\/strong> button in the main admin panel menu:<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Here you can see all the categories used on your site. They are stored in Default<\/strong> category<\/strong>. Categories structure is the following: Default category<\/em> > Main Categories<\/em> > Subcategories<\/em>:<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    In the Categories<\/strong> panel on the left, click to select the level that you want to be the parent of the new category. Click\u00a0“Add Subcategory” button:<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
