In this tutorial you will learn the way to move your PrestaShop website to different folder.<\/p>\r\n

  1. First you need to copy your file from previous folder to new one.<\/li>\r\n
  2. When you have all files in a new directory you should edit following file:<\/li>\r\n

    config\/settings.inc.php<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

  3. Locate the following line at the top (the URL will be different):<\/li>\r\n

    define(‘__PS_BASE_URI__’, ‘\/root\/subfolder\/’);<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

    Set proper folder name:<\/p>\r\n

    define(‘__PS_BASE_URI__’, ‘\/root\/’);<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

  4. Run your website and make sure it works properly.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    1. Prior to moving PrestaShop files you should login to PrestaShop admin panel.<\/p>\r\n

    2. Navigate to Preferences -> SEO & URLs<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

    3. Scroll down to Set shop URL<\/strong> section and change Base URI<\/strong> field.<\/p>\r\n

    5. Connect via FTP to your domain and move all the files to new folder.<\/p>\r\n
