The WordPress Excerpt is an optional summary or description of a post; in short, a post summary<\/strong>. This tutorial is going to show you how to replace excerpts by full posts in your WordPress template. <\/p>\r\n

In order to do this:<\/p>\r\n

1)<\/strong> Look for the_excerpt<\/strong> in your template files. For example, if your posts are on the home page of your site, most probably the file you need to look for the_excerpt<\/strong> in is home.php:<\/strong>

2)<\/strong> Open the file up in any .php editor;<\/p>\r\n

3)<\/strong> Hit Ctrl + F (MAC: Command + F) to look for the line\u00a0 with the_excerpt<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

4)<\/strong> Change the_excerpt<\/strong> to the_content<\/strong> and save the changes. *<\/strong>:

5)<\/strong> Preview your site and check if the excerpts are now full posts.<\/p>\r\n

*To disable the “Read More” button, comment it out in your file like this:<\/p>\r\n
