This tutorial is going to show you how to fix uneditable custom posts after the dump import on your WordPress template.<\/p>\r\n

If you have imported the dumpfile<\/a> and have such a problem:<\/p>\r\n

Please do the following:<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. Copy the name of your custom post menu. The name depends on\u00a0 your template number. For instance, it’s called Works. <\/li>\r\n
  2. Open your database with all tables and click on the “Search<\/strong>” tab.\r\n

    \"\"<\/a>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. Paste the name of your custom post menu into the search field, select all tables and click on Go<\/strong>.\r\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\r\n

  4. From the list of the tables that is going to appear, the wp_post<\/strong> is the one you need to work on. It should have a Browse<\/strong> button next to it, click that button.\r\n

  5. On the next page, take a look at the post_type<\/strong> column results. You will notice that some names begin with lowercase and some with uppercase:\r\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\r\n

  6. All of them should be lowecases, <\/strong>so all you need to do to change them. You can do this manually or click on the SQL<\/strong> tab in your database menu\r\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/p>\r\n

    and insert <\/strong><\/li>\r\n

    UPDATE wp_posts SET post_type='lowecase post type name'  WHERE post_type='uppercase post type name';<\/pre>\r\n
    e.g, if your custom post type name in the post_type column is called our_works<\/strong><\/p>\r\n
    it should look like this \"\"<\/a><\/p>\r\n
    and click on “Go<\/strong>”<\/p>\r\n
  7. Go back to your  custom posts in the WordPress admin. You should see the “Edit<\/strong>” button now:\r\n
