  1. Download phpMyAdmin tool package at http:\/\/phpmyadmin.net<\/a><\/li>\r\n
  2. Unzip it using WinZip or any other unzipping software you like and upload to your hosting account using any FTP manager you like.<\/li>\r\n
  3. Create config<\/strong> folder in main phpMyAdmin folder and ensure that your web server has read and write access to it.<\/li>\r\n
  4. Open http:\/\/your_host.com\/path_to_phpMyAdmin\/setup\/<\/strong> in your browser (substituting the correct path information) and click New Server<\/strong> button<\/li>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n
  5. Fill in Server hostname<\/strong> field. Please contact your hosting provider and ask them which hostname you should use to connect to your database.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n
  6. Select Authentication<\/strong> tab at the top.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n
  7. Select http<\/strong> from ‘Authentication type’ drop-down menu. ‘User for config auth’ field should be blank. Fill in ‘HTTP Realm’ field. The message will be displayed to the user when logging in to phpMyAdmin and click Save<\/strong> button at the bottom.<\/li>\r\n\r\n

    You should see the following screen<\/p>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n

  8. Click Save<\/strong> button to save config file.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  9. Navigate to config<\/strong> folder on your FTP and move config.inc.php<\/strong> file to main phpMyAdmin folder. Delete config<\/strong> folder and rename setup<\/strong> folder.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  10. Open http:\/\/your_host.com\/path_to_phpMyAdmin<\/strong> in your browser (substituting the correct path information)<\/li>\r\n\r\n

    You should see similar form which is asking for User Name and password<\/p>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n

  11. Login using your database username and password.<\/li>\r\n\r\n

    Feel free to manage your databases.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

  12. To display one or selected set of databases you should create config<\/strong> folder in main phpMyAdmin folder and open http:\/\/your_host.com\/path_to_phpMyAdmin\/setup\/<\/strong> in your browser (substituting the correct path information).<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  13. Click Edit<\/strong> button which is highlighted on the screenshot.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n
  14. Select Server configuration<\/strong> tab at the top.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  15. Type the names of the databases you would like to display in your phpMyAdmin to Show only listed databases<\/strong> field (one on a line). Note: escape _ sign, e.g. use ‘my\\_db’ and not ‘my_db’.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  16. Click Save<\/strong> button<\/li>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n
  17. Click Save<\/strong> button highlighted on the following screenshot to save configuration file.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n
  18. Navigate to config<\/strong> folder which is located in your main phpMyAdmin folder and move config.inc.php<\/strong> file to main phpMyAdmin folder.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
  19. Refresh phpMyAdmin in your web browser. You should see the databases you have added to Show only listed databases<\/strong> field.<\/li>\r\n\r\n
