How to add&amp;manage product tags"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following guide refers to the product tags management.<\/p>\r\n <div class=\"video-container\">\r\n\t<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KUaBTY_Btyw\"><\/iframe>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<p> The tags&#8217; primary aim is to improve the website&#8217;s navigation thus making it easier for customers to find the associated, related or similar products. Product tags can be added both by <strong>registered<\/strong> customers or administrator. All of the tags added by customers are moderated by the website administrator prior to approval.<\/p>\r\n<p>To enable or disable the <strong>product tags<\/strong> option, do the following:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li><p>Log into the <strong>Magento backend;<\/strong><\/p><\/li>\r\n\t<li><p>Select a <em>Store View<\/em> or leave it unchanged to make the changes global, navigate to the <strong>System->Configuration->Advanced;<\/strong><\/p><\/li>\r\n\t<li><p>Look <strong>Mage_tag<\/strong> up in the list of options and select <strong>Enable&#47;Disable;<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\t\r\n<a class=\"darkbox\" href=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Magento._how_to_add_and_manage_product_tags.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" tags<\/strong> in the right top corner and click on the <strong>Add New Tag<\/strong>;<\/p>\r\n\t\r\n<a class=\"darkbox\" class=\"list\">\r\n\t\t\t<li><p>The compulsory fields are the <strong>tag name<\/strong> i.e. any name preferred and <strong>status<\/strong>;<\/p><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li><p><strong>Base popularity<\/strong> is an optional field. The tag gets more popular regarding the number of times it has been added by customers.\r\n\t\t\t\tHowever, its popularity can be moderated by assigning it a numeric value. Giving it a higher value, <strong>10<\/strong> for example, whereas the others have lower values, will make the tag more popular thus making it stand out from all of the other tags. Assigning it a value equal to zero will reduce its popularity.<\/p><\/li>\r\n\t\t<\/ul>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n\t<li><p><em>To edit the existing tags<\/em> navigate to <strong>Catalog->Tags->All tags<\/strong> and select a necessary tag;<\/p>\r\n\t\t<p>Three different sections can be found here:<\/p>\r\n\t\t<ul class=\"list\">\r\n\t\t\t<li><p><strong>Products Tagged By Administrators<\/strong>. Press the <strong>Reset Filter<\/strong> button to see a list of the available products which can be assigned to the particular tag;<\/p><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li><p><strong>Customers Submitted this Tag<\/strong>.This section will show the customers who submitted the given tag;<\/p><\/li>\r\n\t\t\t<li><p><strong>Products Tagged by Customers<\/strong>.
