This tutorial is going to show you how to edit transactional emails (account creation, email newsletter sign-up, order confirmation etc) of your Magento store. <\/p>\r\n

  1. Log into your Magento admin panel and go to System -> Transactional Emails<\/strong>.\r\n

  2. On the next page you can edit the raw HTML of the exiting transactional emails or click Add New Template <\/strong>to add a new one. \u00a0<\/li>\r\n
  3. On the next page, under Load Default Template<\/strong>, select the current template name which you want to edit in the Template<\/strong> drop-down. For instance, to create\/edit an email your customer receives\u00a0 after creating a new \u00a0account, select “New Account”<\/strong> in the drop-down.\r\n

  4. In the Locale <\/strong>drop-down you can select the language of the default template. <\/li>\r\n
  5. Click on the Load Template<\/strong> button. This will load the existing template content in the Template Content<\/strong> field where you can change it. In the Template Subject<\/strong> \u00a0field you can change the subject of the existing template. In the Template Name<\/strong> <\/strong>field you can insert the name of the template. Make necessary changes to the code in the Template Content<\/strong> field. You can check how the emails will look when sent to your customers by clicking the Preview Template<\/strong> button at the top right. Use the Insert Variable<\/strong> button to \u00a0insert existing variables in the template content field.\r\n

  6. When you are done, click Save Template<\/strong>.\r\n

  7. To apply the email template you have just created to your store, go to System->Configuration. <\/strong>\r\n
