This tutorial is going to show you how to edit the “404 page not found” page on your WordPress Cherry based template.<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    On\u00a0 your FTP, go to the wp-content\/themes\/CherryFramework\/static<\/strong> folder.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Find the files called static-404.php<\/strong> and static-not-found.php.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Copy them \u00a0to your Desktop.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    Upload them from your Desktop to the wp-content\/themes\/theme#####\/static\u00a0<\/strong>folder on your FTP.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  5. \r\n

    Now you can make changes to the files.\u00a0Together they build your “404 page not found” page. Just change \u00a0404 \u00a0\u00a0in line 2 of the static-404.php <\/strong>file to the text you need. <\/strong>You can use an image instead of text: just upload your image to the wp-content\/themes\/theme#####\/images\/ <\/strong>\u00a0folder and replace “404” in the static-404.php <\/strong>file with the image link like this:<\/p>\r\n

    To edit the text on the right,  you\u00a0 will need to make changes to your local  language files using Poedit<\/a>.  For example, if your site is in Russian, open ru_RU.po<\/strong> located in the  wp-content\/themes\/theme#####\/languages<\/strong> folder in Poedit, and look for the word strings to change them.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
