This tutorial shows how to add a Portfolio category and display specific items on a page.<\/p>\r\n

Drupal 7.x. How to add Portfolio category and display specific items on a page<\/a><\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    Open the admin section and go to Structure -> Taxonomy<\/strong>. Select list terms<\/strong> in the Portfolio categories<\/strong> section (your template may have a different taxonomy name).<\/p>\r\n

    Click on Add term <\/strong>and specify Portfolio category name<\/strong> (in Drupal, Category is called Taxonomy). Save the changes.<\/p>\r\n

    Edit portfolio view:<\/p>\r\n

    Add a new page and copy its settings from the existing page. Specify the page name. Open one of the sample pages and copy the settings from there. Be sure to select "For this page only (override option)."<\/strong> In this case, the settings will be applied to one page only. You should do that for all the settings.<\/p>\r\n

    In Filter options<\/strong>, click on Content: Has taxonomy term<\/strong> (add this Filter criteria if it is not available by default). Specify category name<\/strong>. Be sure to select "For this page only"<\/strong> option. Save the settings.<\/p>\r\n

    Add path and assign the page to menu (in case you need to add it to a particular menu).<\/p>\r\n

    Remove filters in case you need to assign a particular category to the page. Filter shows all categories only and sorts items for all categories only.<\/p>\r\n

    Assign portfolio posts to a new category or add new posts to it. The type of posts should be Portfolio content<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

    We have added a new category. Now specific portfolio posts appear on a separate page. Please note that you should assign a specific category to each page. Otherwise, all categories will appear by default.<\/p>\r\n
