This tutorial is going to show you how to add New and Sale attributes to your products in Magento store.<\/p>\r\n

In order to add New \/ Sale<\/strong> labels to\u00a0 your products:<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    Log into your Magento admin panel and go to the menu Catalog -> Attributes -> Manage Attributes.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    \u00a0C<\/strong>lick the Add New Attribute<\/strong> button.<\/p>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Under Properties<\/strong> enter “new” in the Attribute Code<\/strong> field. Select\u00a0 “YES\/NO” in the Catalog Input Type for Store.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

    Click the Manage Label \/ Options <\/strong>tab\u00a0on the left, enter a name, for example “New label” in the Admin \u00a0field and Save Attribute <\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

    Do the same for the Sale<\/strong> label:<\/p>\r\n

  6. \r\n

    Go to Catalog -> Attributes -> Manage Attribute Sets<\/strong>. Choose your attribute set. Usually it is called Default<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

    Choose your New and\/or Sale attributes from\u00a0the “Unassigned Attributes<\/strong>” section on the\u00a0right\u00a0and drag it to the Groups <\/strong>section on the left. <\/p>\r\n

    Click on Save Attribute Set<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  9. \r\n

    Go to Catalog -> Manage Products,<\/strong> \u00a0select a\u00a0 product and set the newly added attributes (new and sale) to “yes” under the General <\/strong>tab and click Save<\/strong>. <\/p>\r\n

    Open the frontage of your site to check if the labels were added.<\/p>\r\n
