This tutorial shows how to set up Google Sitemap<\/strong> in Magento.<\/p>\r\n

Sitemap<\/strong> is a text or XML file which provides search engines with information about site links for crawling.<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    Log into Magento admin panel and navigate to the Catalog -> Google Sitemap<\/strong> tab.\r\n <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Click Add new<\/strong> button in order to generate sitemap file.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Type sitemap.xml into the Filename field<\/strong>. The Path<\/strong> field defines in what directory on the server the sitemap.xml file will be saved. Usually the file is saved in Magento root directory, in this case insert only slash “\/” into the field.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    In the Store View<\/strong> field select the Store View you’re setting up the sitemap for.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  5. \r\n

    Click Save & Generate<\/strong> button to save and publish sitemap.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  6. \r\n

    To update sitemap with new pages, categories or products, click the Generate button<\/strong> next to the Sitemap. <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
