Good news for all on-line store keepers! In our new tutorial we will teach you how to manage discounts<\/strong> in your Shopify store.<\/p>\r\n

Shopify. How to set up and manage discounts<\/a><\/p>\r\n

You can easily create<\/strong>, set a date range<\/strong>, disable<\/strong> or delete<\/strong> discounts in Shopify admin panel. Let us show you how to do it:<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    Log into your Shopify Admin panel and go to Discounts<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    Press Add a discount<\/strong> button at the top right. This button brings you to a page where you can create discount:<\/p>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    First of all, you need to add a discount name. You can either type your custom discount title in the Discount code<\/strong> field in Discount details<\/strong> section:<\/p>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    Or you may generate random discount code by clicking Generate code<\/strong> button. We will use this option to proceed:<\/p>\r\n

  5. \r\n

    In the next field you need to specify how many times can this discount be used<\/strong>. Type quantity you want customers to be able to use the discount or mark No limit<\/strong> checkbox if you do not need to limit discount usage:<\/p>\r\n

  6. \r\n

    There are 3 different discount types in Discount type<\/strong> section. Let us explain them one by one:<\/p>\r\n

      \r\n
    1. \r\n

      First option $ USD<\/strong> allows you to take money off for specific collection\/product\/customer, etc.<\/p>\r\n

      Type certain amount in the Take<\/strong> field, and from next drop down box select for which specific collection, product, customer group or order<\/strong> discount can be applied. Specify additional details in the last drop-down menu if required:<\/p>\r\n

    2. \r\n

      Next option % Discount<\/strong> allows you to take a certain percent off for the collection, product, customer group or order<\/strong>. It works in the same way, the only difference is that you need to type the amount of percents<\/strong> for discount. Specify additional details in the last drop-down menu if required:<\/p>\r\n

    3. \r\n

      Last type of a discount you can offer is Free shipping<\/strong> that can be applied to any shipping rate that is less than or equal to<\/strong> the amount you set in the $<\/strong> field. It can be applied to origin country you are in or other countries as well by selecting option from applies to<\/strong> field:<\/p>\r\n

    4. \r\n

      Once you’ve set up your discount parameters, you will need to pick a Date range<\/strong>. Type the date you want to start your discount in Discount begins<\/strong> field and date when it should end in Discount expires<\/strong> field. If your discount is not a limited time offer, mark Never expires<\/strong> checkbox.<\/p>\r\n

      Press Save discount<\/strong> button to save the changes:<\/p>\r\n

    5. \r\n

      Now discount is set and it appears in the admin panel. Press Disable<\/strong> if you want to disable it for some time or trash can icon<\/strong> if you want to get rid of the discount:<\/p>\r\n

      That’s it! Now you know how to manage discounts in your Shopify store.<\/p>\r\n
