How to Manage Inventory and Stock<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>Using WooCommerce inventory controls is an important part of managing physical goods and ensuring you do not oversell a product.<\/p>\r\n<h3 class=\"custom\">Global Inventory Settings<\/h3>\r\n<p>Global settings allow you to configure how inventory and stock is managed in your WordPress installation, and also a number of thresholds that can apply to all products in your shop.<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Fist, navigate to <strong>WooCommerce > Settings > Inventory<\/strong>: <\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_1-300x203.png\" alt=\"woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_1\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-41158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.templatemonster.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_1-300x203.png 300w, https:\/\/www.templatemonster.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_1-150x101.png 150w, https:\/\/www.templatemonster.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_1.png 997w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Check the <strong>Manage Stock<\/strong> option to enable stock on all products. If you have a mix of virtual and physical products, you can skip this option here and enable stock on individual product posts (explained in the next section).<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><strong>Hold Stock <\/strong>(minutes) &#8211; This option determines how long WooCommerce will hold inventory for unpaid orders. This means that if a person has a pending order, WooCommerce will remove the item from the global inventory amount until this time limit is up. <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Check the <strong>Notifications<\/strong> option to receive an email notifications for low or out of stock items:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Enter the email to send notifications to in the <strong>Notification Recipient<\/strong> field.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Enter a <strong>Low Stock threshold<\/strong> &#8211; when stock reaches this number, a low stock notification will be sent.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Enter the <strong>Out of Stock Threshold<\/strong> \u2013 The number in this field will determine the point in which an item is out of inventory (typically 0)<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Check <strong>Out of Stock Visibility<\/strong> if you want to hide out-of-stock items within the WooCommerce catalog.<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Select a <strong>Stock Display Format<\/strong> for how stock should be displayed within the WooCommerce product page.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3 class=\"custom\">Per-Product Inventory Options<\/h3>\r\n<p>The following steps will walk you through setting inventory via the Product options panel in the Product post.<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Navigate to <strong>Products<\/strong> section in your admin panel, open a product.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>In the <strong>Product Data<\/strong> area click on the <strong>Inventory <\/strong>tab:<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_2-300x110.png\" alt=\"woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_2\" width=\"300\" height=\"110\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-41159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.templatemonster.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_2-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/www.templatemonster.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_2-150x55.png 150w, https:\/\/www.templatemonster.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/woocommerce_how_to_manage_inventory_2.png 849w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Check <strong>Manage Inventory<\/strong> if you need to set the option on this individual product.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Enter a <strong>Stock Qty<\/strong> &#8211; number of products you have on hand.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Set the <strong>Stock Status<\/strong> \u2013 basically if the Stock Qty is zero, then the Stock Status is out of stock and vice versa.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Choose whether to Allow <strong>Backorders<\/strong> or not.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>As noted, enable <strong>Sold Individually<\/strong> to only allow one of this item to be bought in a single order.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>Feel free to check the detailed video tutorial below:<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xUPFOmepY94?width=1280&amp;height=720\" rel=\"prettyPhoto\">WooCommerce.
