This tutorial shows how to display featured articles in Joomla 3.x.<\/p>\r\n

Joomla 3.x. What are featured articles and how to display them<\/a><\/p>\r\n

First, you need to mark some articles in your site as Featured.<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    To do this, go to Content -> Articles Manager<\/strong>. There is a list of all your articles. You will see a star next to each article. To mark an article as Featured<\/strong>, simply press the star next to it. It will turn yellow, indicating that you’ve marked this article as featured:<\/p>\r\n

    In order to display featured articles on a page, you have to create the Featured Articles<\/strong> menu type in Joomla 3.x.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    Go to Menus -> Main Menu(default main menu) -> Add New Menu Item<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    Next, we should select the menu type by pressing the Select<\/strong> button next to the Menu Item Type<\/strong> label. Expand the Articles section<\/strong> and select the Featured Articles<\/strong> option:<\/p>\r\n

    Finally, press the Save<\/strong> button in the top left corner of this page.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    Now check your site and you will see the new menu item displaying the featured articles.<\/p>\r\n
