Hello! This video tutorial shows how to create a product option and apply it to a product in OpenCart.<\/p>\r\n

The tutorial assumes you are already logged in your OpenCart administration area.<\/p>\r\n

Let’s learn how to create a product option.<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    Go to Catalog ->Options<\/strong> tab:<\/p>\r\n

    Then, click “Insert”<\/strong> button at the top right.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    On the appeared screen fill in the “Option Name:”<\/strong> field with the new option name, choose the type of option from the “Type:”<\/strong> drop-down and put the sort order in the “Sort Order:”<\/strong> field:<\/p>\r\n

    Now, let’s add option values for the option we have created.<\/p>\r\n

      Click “Add Option Value”<\/strong> button and add several option values filling in “Option Value Name:”<\/strong> and “Sort order”<\/strong> fields:<\/p>\r\n

      Click “Save”<\/strong> button at the top right to apply changes.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

      Now, let’s apply the created option to any product.<\/p>\r\n

        Go to Catalog ->Products<\/strong> tab and click “Edit”<\/strong> button at the right hand side of the product you would like to apply an option to:<\/p>\r\n

        Click the “Option”<\/strong> tab and start typing previously added product option in an empty field:<\/p>\r\n

        Hit enter key – now you may add as many option values for the product as you like. Specify Stock<\/strong>, Price<\/strong>, Weight<\/strong>, etc. values that will be available for the product to choose:<\/p>\r\n

        Click “Save”<\/strong> button at the top right of the screen.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

        Open edited product page in the front-end, you can now see “Color”<\/strong> option drop-down there:<\/p>\r\n
