Changing registration form fields titles<\/h3>\r\n
In order to change Registration page title, follow the steps below:<\/p>\r\n

Log into your Joomla admin panel.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
- \r\n
Open User Registration<\/strong> menu item under Menus<\/strong> > System Menu<\/strong> tab:<\/p>\r\n

The date of birth entered should use the format Year-Month-Day, i.e. 0000-00-00<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

In order to change Registration and Cancel buttons titles, please edit en-GB.ini<\/strong> file from language\/en-GB<\/strong> folder on your server.<\/p>\r\n
Removing registration form fields<\/h3>\r\n
In order to disable some fields in your registration form, make the following changes:<\/p>\r\n

Log into your Joomla backend.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
- \r\n
Navigate to Extensions<\/strong> > Plugins Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
- \r\n
Edit User – Profile<\/strong> plugin:<\/p>\r\n

Select <\/strong>Disabled<\/strong> option from the drop down menu next to the field title. You can chose Optional<\/strong> or Required<\/strong> item in case you would like the form field be required or optional when submitting the form:<\/p>\r\n

In order to add new fields to the registration form, database and files update is required. The following database changes are required:<\/p>\r\n

Access the database assigned to your site using PhpMyAdmin<\/strong> tool on your hosting Cpanel.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
- \r\n
Browse XXX_users<\/strong> table. XXX is your the database table prefix:<\/p>\r\n

Specify columns number under Add<\/strong> section. Add chose database ID after which new item will be shown.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

Click on Go<\/strong> button:<\/p>\r\n

Edit user.php<\/strong> file from the libraries\/joomla\/user<\/strong> folder. Find code for the field after which your new section should come:<\/p>\r\n

Add code for your new field just under the code above:<\/p>\r\n
public $field_lable_here= null;<\/pre>\r\n
Where field_lable_here<\/em> is your new field title.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

Modify users.xml<\/strong> file from administrator\/components\/com_users\/models\/forms<\/strong> directory.<\/p>\r\n
Find code for the field after which your new field will be shown:<\/p>\r\n

Add code for your field just under the code below:<\/p>\r\n
\r\n<field name=\"field_lable_here\" type=\"text\"\r\n\t\tdescription=\"Your description\"\r\n\t\tlabel=\"field_lable_here\"\r\n\t\trequired=\"true\"\r\n\t\tsize=\"30\"\r\n\/><\/pre>\r\n
Replace field_lable_here<\/em> with your new field label. Change Your description<\/em> text to your description.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

Edit registration.xml<\/strong> file from the components\/com_users\/models\/forms<\/strong> folder on your server. Add code for your field under the code used for the field after which you would like to show your new field:<\/p>\r\n

Upload the modified files on your server. Refresh your site to see the change.<\/p>\r\n
