This tutorial is going to show you how to rename admin menu items in WordPress.<\/p>\r\n

WordPress. How to rename dashboard menu items<\/a><\/p>\r\n

For example, we are going to show how to rename Services, FAQ’s, Slides and Portfolio menu items.<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    Log into FTP\/File manager<\/strong>, go to wp-content\/themes\/CherryFramework\/languages <\/strong> folder:<\/p>\r\n

    Download blank.po<\/strong> file from this languages<\/strong> folder:<\/p>\r\n

    \"wordpress_<\/a>\r\n <\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    \r\nGo to http:\/\/www.poedit.net\/download.php<\/a> and download Poedit<\/strong> for your system (Wndows\/MAC). Poedit<\/strong> is a free, open source and cross-platform gettext catalog (.po file) editor to aid in the process of language translation. Then install it on your computer.\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Open blank.po<\/strong> file with Poedit<\/strong>. You can use CTRL+F\/Search<\/strong> function to look for a specific string of text. We will search for Services<\/strong>, FAQs<\/strong>, Slides<\/strong> and Portfolio<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    Change the text in the Translation<\/strong> bottom column:<\/p>\r\n

    When you have done, select Files<\/strong> -> Save as<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    We save file as en_US.po<\/strong>, en_US.mo<\/strong> file has been created in the same folder where en_US.po<\/strong> is located:<\/p>\r\n

    Log into FTP\/File Manager <\/strong> and upload en_US.po<\/strong> and en_US.mo<\/strong> files to wp-content\/themes\/themeXXXXX\/languages<\/strong> folder:<\/p>\r\n

    When you are done with uploading, go to the root folder and open wp-config.php<\/strong> file:<\/p>\r\n

    Search for WPLANG<\/strong> by using a search tool (CTRL+F), then insert file name en_US<\/strong> between the brackets, and press Save Changes<\/strong> button on the top:<\/p>\r\n

    Go back to WordPress admin panel and reload the site to check the changes, menu items were renamed successfully:<\/p>\r\n
