Joomla 3.x. How to set up and configure a gallery page<\/a><\/p>\r\n

Gallery page is a Gallery View type menu item that will display articles from specific category.<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    Navigate to Content > Category Manager > Add new<\/strong>. Add a new category. In case you would like to have a filter with subcategories, you will need to create subcategories in Category Manager<\/strong> as well, select the main category as parent for subcategories: <\/p>\r\n

    Click on Save<\/strong> when you are done.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Now you will need to create gallery articles and assign them to the created category (or its subcategories). Navigate to Content > Article Manager > Add new<\/strong>. Type in your title, article text and select the category on the right:<\/p>\r\n

    Open Images and links<\/strong> tab, select the Intro Image<\/strong> and Full article image<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    In options tab, scroll down and make sure to set the Alternative Layout<\/strong> to Gallery<\/strong>. Other Options can be set to Use Global<\/strong> or configured according to your needs.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    When you are done with creating articles and assigning them to category, you will need to create a new menu item.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  7. \r\n

    Navigate to Menus > Main menu (or your menu title) > Add new<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  8. \r\n

    Click on Select<\/strong> next to Menu Item Type *<\/strong>, select Articles > Gallery View:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

    Type in your title, select a category you have created:<\/p>\r\n

    Click on Blog Layout tab<\/strong>. Fill in the #Intro Articles<\/strong> and #Columns<\/strong> fields with the number of articles you would like to display on the page and number of columns you would like to have, select Across<\/strong> for Multi Column Order<\/strong>. Other Options can be set to Use Global<\/strong> or configured according to your needs:<\/p>\r\n

    In Page display<\/strong> tab, add Page class<\/strong> – gallery<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    Save the menu item when you are done.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
