This tutorial shows how to change the map location on home page in OpenCart 1.5.x\/2.x.<\/p>\r\n

OpenCart 1.5.x\/2.x. How to change map location on home page<\/a><\/p>\r\n

In order to change map location on home page, you should perform the following:<\/p>\r\n

Step 1. Locate the Google Map code in the template:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

    Navigate to catalog\\view\\theme\\themeXXX\\template\\common<\/strong> folder on FTP.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Open footer.tpl<\/strong> file and you will see the default Map link with a Google API key (appr.line11):<\/p>\r\n

    Step 2. Generate the API key<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

      To generate the API key, please navigate to Google API console<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    2. \r\n

      Click ‘Create Project’<\/strong>: <\/p>\r\n

      In Services<\/strong> tab on the left select Google Maps JavaScript API v3<\/strong> and turn it ON<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

      Agree to Google Maps\/Google Earth APIs Terms of Service<\/strong> and click ‘Accept’<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

      With that done please navigate to API Access<\/strong> tab on the left and find your API key there:<\/p>\r\n

      Replace the original API key<\/strong> with your one in catalog\\view\\theme\\themeXXX\\template\\common\\footer.tpl<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

      Step 3. Set Latitude and Longitude for the location<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

        Go to Google Maps Site<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

      2. \r\n

        Find your location, right click it. Select ‘What’s Here’<\/strong> option from the drop down menu:<\/p>\r\n

        With that done you will see the Latitude and Longitude<\/strong> of the location on the left of the page:<\/p>\r\n
