This tutorial is going to show you how to change Privacy Policy link and title in Joomla 3.x. template.<\/p>\r\n

Joomla 3.x. How to change Privacy Policy link and title<\/a><\/p>\r\n

Some templates allow you to change Privacy Policy link title in your site admin panel. You can check our video tutorial: How to change footer copyright message<\/a>, where you will learn how to modify that title in Joomla backend. In this tutorial we will show you how to modify Privacy Policy title and link in site files. <\/p>\r\n

Privacy Policy title<\/h3>\r\n
    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    Connect to your server using FTP file manager or hosting Cpanel.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Open language\/en-GB\/en-GB.tpl_theme####.ini, <\/strong>where #### is a number.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Make changes on the line 129:<\/p>\r\n

    TPL_PRIVACY_POLICY=\"Privacy Policy\"<\/pre>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
  4. \r\n
    Save file and upload it back to the language\/en-GB<\/strong> directory on your server.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
    In case you have multilingual site, you need to duplicate a language file “en-GB.tpl_theme####.ini<\/strong>” located in “\\language\\en-GB<\/strong>” folder. Copy it to “\\language\\your_additional_language<\/strong>” folder, for example “language\\es-ES<\/strong>“. Change or rename file prefix from “en-GB.tpl_theme####.ini<\/strong>” to “es-ES.tpl_theme####.ini<\/strong>“. You can open this file in any text editor and alter or translate the text to fit your needs.<\/p>\r\n
    Privacy Policy link<\/h3>\r\n
