This tutorial shows how to remove Olark Chat in PrestaShop 1.6.x.<\/p>\r\n

PrestaShop 1.6.x. How to remove Olark chat<\/a><\/p>\r\n

In order to remove the Olark Chat in Prestashop, you should perform the following:<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    Connect to your FTP<\/strong> account using the FTP software (Filezilla, Total Commander<\/strong>, etc.) or with the help of the File Manager<\/strong> in your Hosting Control panel:\r\n <\/p>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Navigate to \/themes\/themeXXX\/<\/strong> directory where XXX is your theme number and locate the footer.tpl<\/strong> file there.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Open the footer.tpl<\/strong> file and locate the following Olark Chat code<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    Delete the Olark Chat code starting with {literal}<\/strong> and ending with {\/literal}<\/strong> tag:<\/p>\r\n

  5. \r\n

    Save changes<\/strong> to the file and refresh the site.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  6. \r\n

    If you still see the chat on the site, please make sure to clear the Prestashop Smarty Cache.<\/a><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
