This tutorial will show you how to make full Magento website backup. <\/p>\r\n

While most web hosting companies keep a backup of your data, it\u2019s usually not wise to rely on a single backup. It\u2019s much safer to have multiple backups. There is a way to back up files saved on server, and database using PHPMyAdmin tool.<\/p>\r\n

    Back Up Files <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

      The best way to back up all of your files (excluding the database) is to connect to your hosting account with FTP, SFTP or cPanel, and copy the folder that contains all Magento files onto a local machine, a remote server, or to a cloud storage service.<\/p>\r\n

        From hosting cPanel, navigate to File Manager<\/strong>, select all the files with Select all<\/strong>. There is usually the option to archive all the files, you can click Compress<\/strong> to zip them:<\/p>\r\n

        Then download and save it as a .zip file to your computer.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

        Back up The Database Manually <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

          To make sure you work with the correct database, log into your Hosting control panel. Select \u2018File manager\u2018 button, locate the root folder for your Magento website.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

        2. \r\n

          Look for the app\/etc\/<\/strong> folder and local.xml<\/strong> file in it. Open this file and check the database name, username and password<\/strong>, it should look like this:<\/p>\r\n

          Get back to cPanel, open \u2018phpMyAdmin\u2018, then select the database name that you have checked above. Next, click \u2018Export\u2018<\/strong> button to export this database, then click \u2018Go\u2018<\/strong>. Save it as a .sql file on your computer:<\/p>\r\n
