This tutorial shows how to set delivery charges in OpenCart 2.x.<\/p>\r\n

OpenCart 2.x. How to set delivery charges<\/a><\/p>\r\n

Delivery charges are useful when you have products that need to be shipped to your customer after the order. Hover over Extensions> Shipping<\/strong> in the site’s admin panel. You’ll see shipping options to choose from. Let’s use Free Shipping<\/strong> one as an example:<\/p>\r\n

    Set up the Free Shipping at first, click ‘Install’ <\/strong>button next to the method. Then use ‘Edit’ <\/strong>to configure the shipping method: <\/p>\r\n

    Fill in the fields of the area: Define the amount when Free Shipping becomes available under the ‘Total’ <\/strong>tab. Select the Geo Location for the Free Shipping under the ‘Geo Zone’<\/strong> tab. Enable the shipping method under the ‘Status’ <\/strong>tab. Fill in the ‘Sort Order’ <\/strong>tab. <\/p>\r\n

    It is important to set sort order to 1<\/strong> for this option to make it default: <\/p>\r\n

  3. Save changes once you finished editing. <\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    Next, set up the shipping price for the orders below 100<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

      Locate the Flat Rate method<\/strong> under the available shipping methods and click ‘Edit’<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    2. \r\n

      Set up the shipping price under the ‘Cost’ <\/strong>tab. That will be a price charged for the delivery.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    3. \r\n

      Choose your Tax Class and Geo Location under the ‘Tax Class’ <\/strong>and ‘Geo Zone’ <\/strong>tabs.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    4. \r\n

      Make sure the status is Enabled<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    5. \r\n

      Set the sort order to 2<\/strong>. This will ensure that Free Shipping method over 100 will be selected by default: <\/p>\r\n
