WordPress template requires WordPress engine to be installed. Please make sure you have WordPress installed before template installation. You can check our video tutorial on how to install WordPress<\/a>. It will show you how to do WordPress engine installation.<\/p>\r\n When you install WordPress, please follow the steps listed below:<\/p>\r\n\r\n First, you need to unzip the template pack. You can use WinZip 9 or a later version (if you have Windows OS) or Stuffit Expander 10 or a later version (if you have Mac OS). You will see the following folders structure after unzipping the template file:<\/p>\r\n documentation<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n screenshots folder including theme screenshots<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n sources file<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n theme folder<\/p>\r\n cherryframework4.zip<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n theme#####.zip file (where ##### is a number)<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n sample_data folder<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n manual_install folder<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n info.txt<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n license.txt<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Uploading cherryframework4.zip file.<\/strong><\/em> There are two ways to upload this file:<\/p>\r\n Open the WordPress admin panel and go to the Appearance<\/strong> > Themes<\/strong> section. Click Add new<\/strong> button and browse theme from the theme folder within the template pack. Activate Cherry theme after uploading:<\/p>\r\n If you have difficulties installing the theme through the WordPress admin panel, you can upload it through the FTP File.<\/p>\r\n Unzip cherryframework4.zip<\/strong> file on your computer (right-click .zip file, choose Unzip to: cherryframework4, after that you will see cherryframework4 folder).<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Upload cherryframework4<\/strong> folder to wp-content\/themes<\/strong> directory on your server.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Log into your WordPress admin panel, navigate to Appearance<\/strong> > Themes<\/strong> page.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Click Available Themes<\/strong>, find cherryframework4<\/strong> theme and activate it clicking the Activate<\/strong> button:<\/p>\r\n Uploading theme#####.zip<\/strong><\/em> (##### is a number) file. You can upload child theme using the same 2 ways you see above. Make sure theme#####<\/strong> is activated after uploading:<\/p>\r\n Uploading plugins.<\/strong><\/em> Please check documentation file included into your template pack to locate links for plugins download. Log into your WordPress admin panel, open Plugins<\/strong> > Add New<\/strong> page. Click Upload Plugin<\/strong> to upload plugins files:<\/p>\r\n Uploading images.<\/strong><\/em> Copy the uploads<\/strong> folder (you can find it in the theme\/manual_install\/<\/strong> template folder) into the \/wp-content\/<\/strong> directory on the FTP server. Accept folder(s) replacement. Please note that your images may be replaced with sample images.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n The last step of template installation is sample data installation<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n Please open the theme#####.sql<\/strong> file (located in the theme\/manual_install\/<\/strong> folder) using any code editor (Recommended software: Dreamweaver or Notepad) and change all instances of “your_website_url_here”<\/strong> with your website URL via Find and Replace (hot keys – Ctrl+H). E.g.: http:\/\/www.mywebsite.com<\/em><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Make sure there is no forward slash “\/” at the end of the URL, it also should start with http:\/\/www.<\/p>\r\n Replace all “your_website_url_here”<\/strong> instances, save and close the file.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n![](\"\/help\/files\/banners\/zmz\/tmh\/en\/1_3.png\")
