Uploading the document from Joomla admin panel<\/strong> <\/h3>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    Log into Joomla admin panel<\/strong>, go to Media Manager<\/strong>. You can try to create a new folder under images<\/strong> folder (images is the root folder from here):<\/p>\r\n

    Click Upload<\/strong> to upload the document. The document can be any text file, but pdf<\/strong> generally is the best choice. Browse<\/strong> the file from the computer, then Start Upload<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    We will copy the generated link for the document. For example, in this case the root folder is images<\/strong>, the folder is document<\/strong>, the file name is testfile.pdf<\/strong>, then we have the generated link for this document: images\/document\/testfile.pdf<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    Creating an article to add this document<\/h3>\r\n

    1. \r\n

      Go to Content<\/strong> > Article Manager<\/strong> > Add New Article<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

      In the content, you can type the text for this document link, highlight this text, click Insert\/edit link<\/strong> to add the link for this file:<\/p>\r\n

      Paste the generated link that we have just created earlier to Url<\/strong> field, and other optional field for this link. If you need to open the document to the new tab\/window, then from Target<\/strong> field choose New window<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

        Go to Menus<\/strong> > Main Menu<\/strong> (the menu that is currently on the top of the site):<\/p>\r\n

        Click New<\/strong> to create a new menu:<\/p>\r\n

        Add the title and in Menu Item Type<\/strong> field, select Articles<\/strong> > Single Article<\/strong>. Choose the article we have just created and save the menu item: <\/p>\r\n
