Hello! This tutorial will show you how to configure Contact Form<\/strong> in WordPress based on Contact Form 7<\/strong> plugin.<\/p>\r\nWordPress. Contact form 7. Advanced Configuration<\/a>\r\n

In WordPress contact form is often configured using Contact Form 7<\/strong> plugin.<\/p>\r\n

Let’s learn how to set it up.<\/p>\r\n

The tutorial assumes you are already logged into your WordPress dashboard.<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n

  1. Navigate to Contact -> Contact Forms<\/strong> tab:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_1\"<\/a>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Then click the contact form title in order to open it for editing:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_2\"<\/a>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    Now that the Contact Form 7<\/strong> editing interface is opened, you may start configuring the form.<\/p>\r\n

    The form editing screen includes 4<\/strong> main tabs: Form<\/strong>, Mail<\/strong>, Messages<\/strong> and Additional Settings<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_3\"<\/a>\r\n

    Let’s go through each tab to find out what they are used for.<\/p>\r\n

    The Form<\/strong> tab includes the form structure. Here you can adjust the way the form is displayed and what fields it consists of:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_4\"<\/a>\r\n

    As you can see from the screenshot above, the form includes "Name"<\/strong>, "E-mail"<\/strong>, "Phone"<\/strong> and "Message"<\/strong> fields, as well as “Clear”<\/strong> and “Send”<\/strong> buttons.<\/p>\r\n

    Fields can be added\/edited using the form mail-tags<\/strong>, e.g. “text”<\/strong>, “email”<\/strong>, “checkboxes”<\/strong>, “radio buttons”<\/strong>, etc.:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_5\"<\/a>\r\n

    Let’s navigate to the Mail<\/strong> tab, which is responsible for setting up the e-mail address, where e-mails arrive.<\/p>\r\n

    The Mail<\/strong> tab includes such fields, as “To”<\/strong>, “From”<\/strong>, “Subject”<\/strong>, “Additional Headers”<\/strong> and “Message Body”<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_6\"<\/a>\r\n

    At the top of the Mail<\/strong> tab you can see the mail-tags<\/strong> which are available for using in the fields<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_7\"<\/a>\r\n

    Mail-tags<\/strong> are generated automatically when you add them in the Form<\/strong> field, therefore you can see four<\/strong> mail-tags available for using in the fields, since you have only four<\/strong> tags created (Name<\/strong>, E-mail<\/strong>, Phone<\/strong> and Message<\/strong>).<\/p>\r\n

    Note!<\/strong> In order to configure the form properly, your fields must contain only mail-tags, which are used in the form structure under \u201cForm\u201d tab<\/strong>, otherwise the form will not work.<\/p>\r\n

    Insert the e-mail address, where e-mails should arrive, to the “To”<\/strong> field.<\/p>\r\n

    “From”<\/strong> field should contain the following string:<\/p>\r\n

    [your-name] <noreply@templatetesting.com><\/pre>\r\n
    where you should use your domain name<\/strong> instead of templatetesting.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n
    Make sure to fill in the rest of the fields with respective tags.<\/p>\r\n
    Let’s now navigate to the Messages<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\r\n
    It includes the text of all the messages that the user sees when performing certain actions with the form, e.g. “Sender’s message was sent successfully”, “Validation errors occurred”, etc.:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_8\"<\/a>\r\n
    Finally, the Additional Settings<\/strong> tab allows to add customization snippets<\/strong> there. You may find detailed information regarding it here: Additional Settings<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n
    Make sure to click “Save”<\/strong> button once you finish configuring the form to apply changes:<\/p>\r\n\"wordpress_contact_form_7_advanced_configuration_9\"<\/a>\r\n
