Joomla 3.x. How to add new field in TM AJAX Contact Form module<\/a><\/p>\r\n Every Joomla 3 template has a contacts page with the contact form<\/strong> included.<\/p>\r\n Usually contact form has standard fields,<\/strong> e.g. “Name”<\/strong>, “E-mail”<\/strong>, “Phone”<\/strong> and “Message”<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n You may want to add your own fields<\/strong> to the form for your site visitors to fill in.<\/p>\r\n Let’s learn how to do that.<\/p>\r\n The tutorial assumes you are already logged into your Joomla administration panel.<\/p>\r\n Navigate to Extensions ->Module Manager<\/strong> tab:<\/p>\r\n On the right hand side of the appeared page click on the items counter<\/strong> button and choose “All”<\/strong> option to have all the modules available displayed on the page:<\/p>\r\n Now that all the modules are visible on the page, use the CTRL+F\/CMND+F<\/strong> key (Windows OS\/Mac OS<\/strong>) to search for “TM AJAX Contact Form”<\/strong> text.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Click on the module title to open it for editing:<\/p>\r\n The TM AJAX Contact Form<\/strong> editing interface is opened in front of you.<\/p>\r\n Now, click on the Module Settings<\/strong> tab to open the page with contact form main settings:<\/p>\r\n The first thing you see is “Pretext”<\/strong> field, below is available contact form fields – this is where you should perform the changes.<\/p>\r\n Click on the “plus” (+)<\/strong> icon next to the field you would like to add the new field after. Let’s say you want to add “Subject”<\/strong> field after the “Phone”<\/strong> field:<\/p>\r\n You can see new empty<\/strong> field is appeared now:<\/p>\r\n Fill in the “Label”<\/strong> and “Name”<\/strong> fields and set the “Type”<\/strong> option for the newly added form field – in our case it should be “text”<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n You should also choose whether the field is required<\/strong> or not required<\/strong> by setting appropriate option. Let’s make the subject field not required<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n You probably noticed the “Bootstrap Size” <\/strong>option that also needs to be set.<\/p>\r\n By configuring this option you will set the field size<\/strong> – by choosing 12<\/strong> you will mean that the field occupies the whole contact form container<\/strong> width<\/strong> just like the “Message”<\/strong> field does:<\/p>\r\n Number 4<\/strong> means the field will occupy the third part<\/strong> of the form container, number 3 – the forth part<\/strong> and so on.<\/p>\r\n Let’s set the field to occupy the whole container width<\/strong> by choosing 12<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n Scroll the page up and click the green “Save”<\/strong> button at the top left of the screen to apply changes:<\/p>\r\n Navigate to your contacts page and refresh the page to see changes.
