You may have a Google Map<\/strong> at the bottom of the Home page of your WordPress template:<\/p>\r\n

Hover over the map and try scrolling with your mouse wheel – you can see the map zooms in\/out<\/strong> while scrolling.<\/p>\r\n

You may want to disable this function since it is quite annoying at times, when you want to simply scroll the page up and have the map zooming out instead.<\/p>\r\n

Otherwise, you may want to have zoom<\/strong> enabled so your site visitors could easily navigate to the desired location on the map by using mousewheel scrolling zoom<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

Let’s learn how to manage this function.<\/p>\r\n

The tutorial assumes you are already logged into your WordPress dashboard.<\/p>\r\n

    Navigate to Appearance -> Editor<\/strong> tab in the dashboard:<\/p>\r\n

    Click the static-map.php<\/strong> title on the right hand side to open the file for editing:<\/p>\r\n

    As you can see the scrollwheel<\/strong> function is set to “true”<\/strong> by default.<\/p>\r\n
    Simply replace it with “false”<\/strong> to disable the mousewheel scrolling so the code looks as follows:<\/p>\r\n

    Click the “Update File”<\/strong> button at the lower part of the screen to apply changes:<\/p>\r\n
