This tutorial is going to show how to add missing short description<\/strong> on Prestashop product pages.<\/p>\r\n

PrestaShop 1.6.x. Missing short description on product pages<\/a><\/p>\r\n

In order to add missing short description on product pages you should perform the following steps:<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n
  1. \r\n

    Open product.tpl<\/strong> file that is located in the following directory: themes\/themeXXX<\/strong> of your template.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    You have to open product.tpl<\/strong> file with File Manager in the CPanel<\/strong> or with the editor like a Notepad++ or Dreamviewer<\/strong> on your computer.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    First of all we have to save original file in order to make a back-up<\/strong> in case of need to restore default settings. Right-click and select Download<\/strong> button.<\/p>\r\n

    After such step we can start editing. Right-click the file and select Code Edit<\/strong> item:<\/p>\r\n

  4. \r\n

    Find location where you would like to paste it. In our case we will locate it after price area. Copy<\/strong> this part of code and paste<\/strong> it into the area where you would like to see short description on the product page. <\/p>\r\n

    Save<\/strong> changes and  upload<\/strong> the file to the following directory: themes\/themeXXX<\/strong>. Notice that you have to allow overwriting<\/strong> in order to save changes in case you are uploading the file again.  <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
  6. \r\n
    Go back to your website and refresh the page with text that you have changed. Now we can see that editing was successful. <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
