This tutorial shows how to edit content on Category & Archives pages<\/strong> in CherryFramework 3.x.<\/p>\r\nCherryFramework 3. How to edit Category\/Archives page layout<\/a>\r\n

  1. Category page title is called out from wp-content\/themes\/CherryFramework\/title.php<\/strong> file:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\"Cherry<\/a>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Connect to server via FTP<\/a> or open cPanel File manager<\/a>. Copy the title.php<\/strong> file from the wp-content\/themes\/CherryFramework<\/strong> folder into child theme, i.e. into wp-content\/themes\/themeXXXXX<\/strong> directory.<\/p><\/li>\r\n

    Open the copied file in the wp-content\/themes\/themeXXXXX<\/strong> directory on server, find and edit the following line:<\/p>\r\n 

    <?php printf( theme_locals("category_archives").": %s", '<small>' . single_cat_title( '', false ) . '<\/small>' ); ?><\/pre>\r\n    
    Change it to:<\/p>\r\n    
    <?php printf('<small>' . single_cat_title( '', false ) . '<\/small>' ); ?><\/pre>\r\n    
    Save changes in the title.php<\/strong> file and check the Category page layout after that.<\/p>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n
  4. \r\n    
    To edit Archives page<\/strong> layout, copy the wp-content\/themes\/CherryFramework\/loop\/loop-archives.php<\/strong> file into the wp-content\/themes\/themeXXXXX\/loop<\/strong> folder on server. Please note in case loop folder is missing in child theme, you will need to create the folder.<\/p>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n

    Open copied loop-archives.php file<\/strong>, find and delete the archive_lists code:<\/p>\r\n  
    \r\n  <div class="archive_lists"> \r\n   <div class="row-fluid">\r\n   <div class="span4">\r\n   <h3 class="archive_h"><?php echo theme_locals("last_posts"); ?><\/h3>\r\n   <div class="list styled check-list">\r\n   <ul>\r\n   <?php $archive_30 = get_posts('numberposts=30');\r\n   foreach($archive_30 as $post) : ?>\r\n   <li><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title();?><\/a><\/li>\r\n   <?php endforeach; ?>\r\n   <\/ul>\r\n   <\/div>\r\n   <\/div>\r\n   <div class="span4">\r\n   <h3 class="archive_h"><?php echo theme_locals("archives_month"); ?><\/h3>\r\n   <div class="list styled check-list">\r\n   <ul>\r\n   <?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); ?>\r\n   <\/ul>\r\n   <\/div>\r\n   <\/div>\r\n   <div class="span4">\r\n   <h3 class="archive_h"><?php echo theme_locals("archives_subject"); ?><\/h3>\r\n   <div class="list styled check-list">\r\n   <ul>\r\n   <?php wp_list_categories( 'title_li=' ); ?>\r\n   <\/ul>\r\n   <\/div><!-- .archive_lists -->  \r\n  <\/pre>\r\n  
    Removal of the code will delete the following lists on Archives<\/strong> page:<\/p>\r\n \r\n\"Cherry<\/a>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    Save changes in the loop-archives.php<\/strong> file. Refresh front-end with Ctrl\/Cmd+F5 hotkeys. \r\n   <\/p>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n  <\/ol>\r\n\r\n
