CherryFramework 3. How to change number of columns in footer<\/a><\/p>\r\n

You may have some certain columns number in the footer area of your website that you may want to change.<\/p>\r\n

Let’s learn how to do that.<\/p>\r\n

The tutorial assumes you are already logged into your WordPress dashboard.<\/p>\r\n

    Navigate to Appearance -> Editor<\/strong> tab in your site back-end:<\/p>\r\n

    Then click on wrapper-footer.php<\/strong> file name on the left side to open the file for editing:<\/p>\r\n

    In the file you can see the code with several “span”<\/strong> tags:<\/p>\r\n

    Each span section is responsible for certain column in the footer.<\/p>\r\n

    If you sum up these spans, you will receive span12<\/strong> as a result (2+2+2+2+1+3=12<\/strong>). This is the main condition to have 12<\/strong> after summing up all the spans<\/strong> no matter how many columns you wish to have.<\/p>\r\n

    Let’s say you want to display four<\/strong> columns instead of five<\/strong> – first, second, third and fifth.<\/p>\r\n

    First of all, remove the code responsible for the forth column:<\/p>\r\n

    Secondly, you need to increase the span value for one of four columns in order to have columns displayed nicely.<\/p>\r\n
    Since the removed column had a value of span2<\/strong>, let’s increase the value of the third column by 2<\/strong>:<\/p>\r\n

    Replace this code with the following:<\/p>\r\n

    Click “Update File”<\/strong> button to apply changes:<\/p>\r\n
