This tutorial will show you how to add a static block<\/strong> to a category page<\/strong> in Magento templates.<\/p>\r\n

By default, you’ll see a product listing on your category pages without any blocks added to it:<\/p>\r\n

In order to add a static block<\/strong> to a category page<\/strong>, you need to perform the following steps:<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    Log into your admin panel. Go to Catalog – Manage Categories<\/strong> and select the category in question:<\/p>\r\n

    Go to the Display Settings<\/strong> tab. Select the Static block and products<\/strong> option in the Display Mode<\/strong> select box:<\/p>\r\n

    Select the static block you’d like to be displayed on the category page in the CMS Block<\/strong> select box. Save the category:<\/p>\r\n

    Reload the category page. Now you see the new block displayed on it:<\/p>\r\n
