This guide will show you how to add categories menu to left column (if it displays as top menu) in Prestashop template.<\/p>\r\nPrestaShop 1.6.x. How to add categories menu to left column (if it displays as top menu))<\/a>\r\n

  1. \r\n\t\t

    Log into the admin panel of your site and go to Preferences -> Themes<\/strong> and click Advanced settings<\/strong> button: <\/p>\r\n \r\n\"PrestaShop<\/a>\r\n <\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    Here you need to enable Left column for home page so that Categories block<\/strong> module could be transplanted there:<\/p>\r\n \r\n\"PrestaShop<\/a>\r\n <\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n\t\t

    After you’re done, open Modules -> Positions<\/strong>. You can use Transplant a module<\/strong> tool to hook it in Left column. Additional information on how to manage modules positions can be found here<\/a>: <\/p>\r\n \r\n\"PrestaShop<\/a>\r\n <\/li>\r\n

  4. \r\n\t\t

    Under Module<\/strong> tab select a module required (in our case it is ‘Categories block’ module), under Transplant to<\/strong> select a required position (in our case it is Left column) and save the changes: <\/p>\r\n\r\n\"PrestaShop<\/a>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n

  5. \r\n

    Open the home page and refresh it to see the changes. Sometimes you may also need to clear Smarty cache<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n <\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n
