This tutorial will show you how to deal with ‘This page was unable to display a Google Maps element’ error in WordPress<\/strong> templates based on Cherry Framework 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

Google announced some changes to the Google Maps APIs authentication and usage limits<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

Usage of the Google Maps APIs now requires a key<\/strong>. If you are using the Google Maps API on localhost or your domain was not active prior to June 22nd, 2016<\/strong>, it will require a key going forward. This is why such error occurs. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\"CherryFramework_3_Troubleshooter_Google_maps_do_not_show_up_0\"<\/a>\r\n\r\n

To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n\t\t

    Go<\/strong> to https:\/\/developers.google.com\/maps\/documentation\/javascript\/get-api-key<\/a> website and create<\/strong> an authentication key by clicking on a ‘Get a Key’<\/strong> button;<\/p>\r\n\t\t\r\n\"CherryFramework_3_Troubleshooter_Google_maps_do_not_show_up_1\"<\/a>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n\t

  2. Select ‘Create a project’<\/strong> option and click ‘Continue’<\/strong>;<\/p>\r\n\t\r\n\"CherryFramework_3_Troubleshooter_Google_maps_do_not_show_up_2\"<\/a>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n\t

  3. Specify the required credentials: Name<\/strong>, Website URL<\/strong> and hit ‘Create’<\/strong> button;<\/p>\r\n\t\r\n\"CherryFramework_3_Troubleshooter_Google_maps_do_not_show_up_3\"<\/a>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n\t

    Copy<\/strong> your new API Key<\/strong>: <\/p>\r\n\t\t\r\n\"CherryFramework_3_Troubleshooter_Google_maps_do_not_show_up_4\"<\/a>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n\t

  5. \r\n\t\t

    Login<\/strong> to your WordPress Dashboard. Update<\/a> Cherry Shortcodes<\/strong> plugin to the latest version. You can download<\/strong> the latest version here<\/a>. <\/p>\r\n\"CherryFramework_3_Troubleshooter_Google_maps_do_not_show_up_5\"<\/a>\r\n\t<\/li>\r\n\t

  6. \r\n\t\t
