The following tutorial will show you how to edit the footer copyright notification in PrestaShop<\/a> 1.6.x templates.<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n

    You will get Ecommerce software by PrestaShop\u2122<\/strong> notification in the footer after template installation. This text is defined by the CMS block module. <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  2. \r\n

    To edit the Ecommerce software by<\/strong> caption, log into your PrestaShop admin panel.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

  3. \r\n

    Navigate to Localization->Translations<\/strong> menu.<\/p>\r\n

    Look for the Modify Translations<\/strong> section. Select Installed Modules Translations<\/strong> type of translation, your theme, the language you would like to edit and click the Modify<\/strong> button.<\/p>\r\n

    Using the search function of your browser (Ctrl + F hotkeys for Windows, F for Mac), look for the blockcms<\/strong> section. There you will find the [1]Ecommerce software by %s[\/1]<\/strong> expression. <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    Change the translation and click the Save<\/strong> button.<\/p>\r\n

    NOTE: If you remove the %s<\/strong> symbol from translation, the copyright title (by default PrestaShop<\/strong>) will disappear. Leave [1]…[\/1]<\/strong> tags if you want your footer copyright notification to be linked to some URL.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    To change PrestaShop\u2122<\/strong> title and notification URL, you will need to enter your FTP server using some FTP-client software (for instance, Total Commander, FileZilla, etc.).<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    Open your PrestaShop installation directory, go to the themes\\themeXXX\\modules\\blockcms\\blockcms.tpl<\/strong> file (XXX<\/strong> is your theme number), upload it to your desktop and open it with your HTML\/PHP editor (for example, Adobe Dreamweaver, Notepad++, etc).<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n

    Look for the following code (line 104 approximately):<\/p>\r\n

    Replace PrestaShop\u2122<\/strong> in code:<\/p>\r\n
    \r\n
    sprintf=['PrestaShop\u2122']<\/pre>\r\n
     with your title like\r\n
    sprintf=['Your_Title']<\/pre>\r\n<\/p>\r\n
    Then change the code\r\n
     tags=['<a class="_blank" title="prestashop" href="http:\/\/www.prestashop.com">']}<\/pre>\r\n
    to\r\n
    tags=['<a class="_blank" title="your_title" href="http:\/\/www.your-site.com">']}<\/pre>\r\n
     where http:\/\/www.your-site.com<\/strong> is the required URL of your footer notification.\r\n          <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
  11. \r\n
     Save the changes and upload the modified file back to your server. Replace the original blockcms.tpl<\/strong> file. <\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
  12. \r\n
    Check your webstore front end. We have changed the footer copyright notification successfully.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
