static front page

There are 2 types of WordPress website front pages:

1. The dynamic front page that looks like the blog page and displays most recent blog posts. WordPress uses the dynamic font page by default.

2. The static front page that is used to show customized content. Our WordPress templates use static front page by default.

Most users prefer to create a custom home page. This feature is particularly useful for websites that want to keep a blog separate from other sections of their website or for users who want to showcase content other than blog posts on the front page of their website.

Before you can set a static front page for your site, you have to create and publish the page that you would like to use as the static front page. You can name it whatever you want. The static front page can be set in the Settings -> Reading menu in your WordPress admin panel (see the screenshot below):

Any WordPress page can be used as static front page, but you can only select the page that has been published already.
