Buy vs build is always the major question when launching a website. As an experienced web developer, I could have eventually built all the functionality in this template and the included Cherry Framework, but it would have taken a significant development effort to fully code, test, and implement. This template is more than just a design, its built on the Cherry Framework. For those familiar with other content management tools, the Cherry Framework gives you several additional content types which proved incredibly useful for my end goals – to build a site for an indie game in development to attractively and professionally describe the game and give a sense of its look and feel in the concept art. I did not have to rely solely on the page and post content type for separating out and organizing content. As a seasoned web developer, I could get the site up and running in four hours including customizations to the css. As you can see from the final website http://realms-of-imagination.net I did do some moderate customizations, but I do have a deep knowledge of css and other CMS frameworks which certainly came in handy. I’m not sure what the experience would be like for a novice, but for a professional, the Cherry Framework and any other templates that implement it provides additional content types and functionality that greatly speeds up the implementation and delivery.

This was a template I installed for a modelling agency, changing images and text as appropriate. They cose it for the gallery effect. It is a great starter template which really gives a professional feel to the site. Template Monster's delivery and support was very slick. I freelance for many small businesses that do not have the time to do their own technical work and the ease with which these templates install, and allow the business to apply their own touches, really speeds up my work.
