configuration scope

Configuration scope is an ability of configuration parameter, product, category, attribute definition, or customer management setting to apply to a specific view in Magento.

It allows you to set different options for each language used on the website or multiple stores.

This area is not available for users with restricted access.

Configuration scope includes the following components:

• Store – the setting is limited to the store view, which is often used to display a store in multiple languages;

• Global – the setting applies to the entire installation;

• Website – the setting is limited to the website.
