cache
April 16, 2015
Cache is special web space on your hard disc, which stores data of the previously visited pages, URLs of recently visited sites, images, videos, etc. When you open the web page you visited earlier, the page data is not supposed to be downloaded to your computer once again, as it is stored on your hard disc.
Cache allows your browser to grab data from computer hard disc without downloading information from the Internet. Cache is used to speed up the page loading speed and save bandwidth.
Having a useful purpose, the cache can play a negative role. If the design of the page you visit periodically updates, you may not notice it since instead of downloading the updated page from the site server, the browser will pull it from the cache.
The cache has size limits. Essentially, when cache gets full of data that hasn’t been used for a long time, it is replaced with new information. It is better to clean browser cache manually. You can do it in browser settings, each browser has its function of clearing the cache.
