OpenCart News and Updates

Hi, hoping someone can help me here.

I have a store where it's mostly B2B sales, the store is set up to display prices Ex TAX, but I have noticed this only work on the main price. When the product has qty based discount, the price shown is Inc TAX. This looks very confusing for the shopper. As illustrated with my screen grab.

I have located the relevant code in the product.tpl file, but any attempt to edit this result in a the white screen of death. My php skills are crap tbh. I was hoping someone here could help me. TIA,

CODE:

 <?php if ($price) { ?>          <ul class="list-unstyled">            <?php if (!$special) { ?>            <li>              <h2><?php echo $price; ?> Inc VAT</h2>            </li>            <?php } else { ?>            <li><span style="text-decoration: line-through;"><?php echo $price; ?></span></li>            <li>              <h2><?php echo $special; ?></h2>            </li>            <?php } ?>            <?php if ($tax) { ?>            <li> <?php echo $tax; ?> <?php echo $text_tax; ?></li>            <?php } ?>            <?php if ($points) { ?>            <li><?php echo $text_points; ?> <?php echo $points; ?></li>            <?php } ?>            <?php if ($discounts) { ?>            <li>              <hr>            </li>            <?php foreach ($discounts as $discount) { ?>            <li><?php echo $discount['quantity']; ?><?php echo $text_discount; ?><?php echo $discount['price']; ?> Inc VAT</li>            <?php } ?>            <?php } ?>          </ul>

I ran into this as well. Make sure you re-enable the correct Order Totals extensions. PayPal will give that error if you are missing required fields such as order total and such.

I authorize all payments instead of directly charging them (a setting in my payment processor setup) so I can verify the order then charge the customer.

Hi

I am using total import pro in a site I am doing and I have imported the csv file all ok but I have a couple of questions as bit unsure on it

1) There are around 50 or so categories in the csv import and can't add them all to the menu, is there a way I could manually create a category and then have the imported categories to be inside the manual parent category I create so for example I manually create a parent category called Memory and then have the imported categories Memory - Desktop and Memory - Laptop inside the manual parent category I created and not cause a issue when the cron job runs to check the csv file for stock figures and/or price changes

2) My supplier gave me the the FTP info for the csv file but no url, can cron jobs run to access the ftp server to check for stock figure updates and/or price changes?

Thank you in advance

Well, but for those, unaware of, how to create Modules. To add some 'nice' content
onto an Error Page, I just created a sample, by pasting a old and complete HTML Page,
only partly liked in a valid way, into the not_found.tpl file, right beneath the (Custom Theme!)
<?php include(DIR_TEMPLATE . 'default/template/common/template-heading.tpl'); ?>
Line. It's Including everything , from the DOCTYPE... down to the </html> Tag, I just wanted
to find out on, how it will turn out, with all that code. :crazy:
It would keep one from making it complicated, by just reworking the error-file itself. ;)
Just an idea... (it's even responsive! :D )

Hi

I think IP_CAM offered some suggestions in May 2016 but the link doesnt exist Ernie...

Anyway... using v2.0.0.1 ... I installed one of the Login mods Ernie suggested, but now when a user logs in and buys and goes to checkout it ALWAYS asks me if I want to use the registered address for billing even though the ONLY method of payment is cash on collection.

It never used to do that before I installed the login mod and registered an address.

any suggestions would be welcome.

george

No, no, no, don't even think about OC 3. For now it's just an atrocity, avoid it for at least a year. Hopefully it'll become usable to the next summer.
