The hamburger menu button is a symbol consisting of three parallel horizontal lines. It is often displayed in the top left or top right of a user interface. It is called a “hamburger button” for its resemblance to a hamburger, the top and bottom lines representing the bun and its middle line representing the hamburger filling:

That works like placeholder for second-order functions. Click/touch on a hamburger button typically results in a menu of pages or options:
