A nameserver is a special server that is instantly connected to Internet. This server translates domain names into IP addresses (or vice versa). Nameserver allows us to use domain names instead of IP addresses. For example, we can enter a website by typing www.yoursite.com in browser’s address bar. Nameserver translates yoursite.com into IP address like 212.34.12.22. Usually at least two nameservers should be configured in order to handle requests for the domain name.
