The Overlay tool allows you to display the Drupal administration interface in an overlay. Once an overlay is active, the administrative pages are displaying as a layer over the current page, rather than replacing page in the browser window. You can close the overlay window to refer to the page you were viewing before.

To enable overlay:

  1. Log into your Drupal admin panel.

  2. Click Modules tab at the top tool bar.

  3. Open Core section on the next screen.

  4. Locate Overlay module and enable it.

  5. Click Save configuration to save the change changes:
