pingback

The pingback is an automatic message received by website administrator in case someone at the Internet uses link to his website. Site author can track referring to his site content this way, e.g. by setting these automatic notifications with CMS core functionality (WordPress) or by using additional modules (Joomla, Drupal). In WordPress pingbacks are set as post comments – they will be added to the rest of comments on blog post when someone shares this post on the web.
