PrestaShop Cloud

PrestaShop Cloud is PrestaShop’s hosted solution. It works as a pre-installed version of PrestaShop that integrates a merchant path to help you configure your store. You should differ that from PrestaShop Download, which is the e-commerce Open-Source software that you install on a web server yourself.

With PrestaShop Cloud, you benefit from an offer that includes installation and hosting for your shop. You manage your shop only via your PrestaShop Cloud back-office.

Additionally, PrestaShop Cloud has one limitation that the self-hosted version does not have: you can only use the modules and themes from the Addons marketplace. Non-Addons modules and themes are considered unsafe and therefore not allowed on the platform. You also do not have the access to the engine’s files and database. Neither the store can be upgraded.
